Scything wings of terror

Slice through glass and steel

A fireball of hatred

That seems so wrong, surreal.

Dust-caked denizens with

stone-faced resolve

Miles of destitution

Revenge their only goal.

Scything wings of terror

Fueled by hidden, ignorant hate

Not scared of their oblivion

Nor afraid of their doomed fate.

There’s something wrong with the world tonight

I feel it in my bones

I’m filled with a fear for humanity

I lie awake and hope…

Scything wings of terror

They slice right through my soul

While hate and evil fester

I wish world peace was the ultimate goal.
