Greg McBride Biography

 

Greg’s poems, essays, and reviews appear in 32 Poems, Adirondack Review, Baltimore Review, Chautauqua Literary Journal, Connecticut Review, Folio, The Gettysburg Review, The Hollins Critic, Poet Lore, Potomac Review, the Princeton Alumni Weekly, and elsewhere. His poems have also appeared in anthologies of poems by lawyers and Vietnam veterans. He is a former member of the Senior Executive Service at the U.S. Department of Transportation where he was, for twelve years, Deputy Chief Counsel at the Federal Transit Administration, and for fifteen years, Assistant Chief Counsel for Safety at the Federal Railroad Administration. He now consults on transportation issues and works as a freelance editor. He was a high school and college wrestler and an Army photographer in the Vietnam War. The father of three and grandfather of four, he lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, with his wife Lois, also a writer.
