Why Galley Proof?
VanderCook Proof Press
In traditional publishing, the galley proof was the final step in the editorial process. Once a manuscript had its "galleys" approved, it was ready for final design, publication, and marketing.

Galley-proof.com - the website - has a similar function. Many authors have submitted their works for publication on Author-me.com, our sister website.

Some works on author-me.com are selected for publication here - a sort of "galley proof" after the author has posted the work and received comments on author-me.com.

You, the visitor, benefit from the result. You may read to your heart's content, but you are still asked to submit comments to the author.

After all, it is the author's objective to produce a publishable work. The author is sharing it with you to hone in on the one thing that can't be known intuitively - the reader's actual reaction.
